We have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Generalist to provide leadership and support of recruitment, employee relations, management coaching.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs Human Resources related duties at the professional level and handles responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, training, talent acquisition/recruiting, recognition programs, benefits and safety. Serves as a consultant to management on Human Resource related issues. Reports to the COO.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administers full cycle recruitment processes including but not limited to posting, sourcing, resume review, background checks, on-boarding and new hire orientation.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment and day-to-day management of Team Members, reducing legal risks.
  • Works closely with management and Team Members to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides day- to-day performance management guidance – including coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions to managers.
  • Responds to employee relation issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Develops, recommends and implements Human Resources policies and procedures. Maintains Team Member handbook.
  • Facilitates and/or provides training (including orientation) to the workforce.
  • Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for continuous improvement.
  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of Human Resources function in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • With consultant, develops safety and health programs and objectives to ensure compliance with Federal and State safety regulations. Coordinate safety training.
  • Participates in management staff meetings and attends other meetings as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of three 4 years of exempt level work experience working as an HR Generalist.
  • Strong background in talent acquisition/recruiting and employee relations required.
  • HR certification (PHR/SPHR) desired.
  • Experience in an organization with multi-site locations is preferred.
  • Recent experience within a highly regulated industry such as Education, Healthcare, Financial Services or Insurance is helpful.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Strong working knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines including talent acquisition/recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.
  • Proven ability to work with minimal supervision and effectively plan and prioritize work to accomplish multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Proven problem-solving ability, analytical skills, and experience providing recommendations based on effective assessment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Be flexible and available to interact with Team Members at all levels.
  • Ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results.
  • Ability to objectively coach Team Members and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues.
  • Strong conflict management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle matters of confidentiality with utmost tact and diplomacy.
  • Experience with ADP applications preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

TRAVEL
Must be able to drive personal automobile to locations in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside counties.
