POSITION SUMMARY

The Regional Director of Admissions is responsible for overseeing the entire admissions process, from lead generation through class start, for all new students. This includes new student budget responsibility, vendor relationships, new student start accountability, start rate initiatives, and internal and external policy or regulatory requirements. The Director has ultimate accountability and responsibility for all items relating to the admissions department’s procedures and policies. The Director works closely with department managers to ensure all functional areas are supported.  The Regional Director of Admissions reports to the Corporate Director of  Admissions.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Ensures that all Admissions operations are in accordance with all local, state, and federal regulations along with the Company’s policies and procedures. Conducts audits and reviews results to ensure conformance with above.
  • Oversees hiring and training of all admissions staff. Conducts and/or makes available individual and group training sessions and meetings to insure standards of performance consistent with school and company objectives, policies and operating procedures.
  • Maintains the department to promote a positive student experience throughout the admissions process.
  • Maintains staffing levels while overseeing training, development, motivation and ongoing management of staff.
  • Maintains accurate admissions records to include lead tracking, prospective student applications, and history of prospect during the admissions process.
  • Responsible for on-going analysis of admissions performance to insure achievement of the college's recruiting objectives.
  • In collaboration with Marketing, creates contemporary outreach and marketing materials that are accurate and appealing to prospective students.
  • Monitors and maintains relationship with all vendors to include marketing and telemarketing vendors.
  • Monitors inquiry pacing, cost per inquiry, distribution and conversion.
  • Establishes individual enrollment goals for Admissions Representatives.
  • Responsible for conversion and start rate of all enrolled students.
  • Develops, directs, and coordinates Admissions activities in accomplishing its goals and objectives
  • Ensures that objectives, goals, plans, budgets, policies, practices, and actions produce desired student recruitment results that are consistent with the overall mission and strategic plan for the College.
  • Participates in the development and execution of both short-term and long-term student recruitment strategy at the campus level to ensure the Company’s growth and profitability objectives and implements approved programs.
  • Delegates responsibilities of the Admissions staff to ensure that policies and decisions are properly implemented throughout the Admissions function.
  • Conduct steam meetings in order to motivate and encourage. Discusses key issues and concerns with staff. Stimulates Admissions staff to achieve desired results through positive attitudes and methods

QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Ability to direct, train, and motivate personnel.
  • Strong sales ability, including proven sales management experience or proven success as an admissions representative.
  • Demonstrated skills in facilitating and modeling a strong customer service orientation.
  • Demonstrated skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students, staff, faculty, and the public.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations essential.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Ability and experience to successfully lead a team.
  • Demonstrated Computer literacy skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate analyses.
  • Able to delegate responsibilities and follow-up effectively.
  • Requires Travel from Campus to Campus

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of five years or more of proven successful experience leading Enrollment/Admissions Representatives in the private postsecondary/vocational educational industry.
