Role Overview 
The Regional Director of Operations (RDO) will be a key member of SEC’s leadership team, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer. The RDO oversees operations for a designated region and is responsible for setting and achieving SEC’s operational goals and objectives for their region, identifying and implementing best practices, exhibiting effective and efficient problem solving, and reporting the status towards achieving operational objectives to all stakeholders. In this role, the RDO manages and supports SEC’s Campus Leaders within their region in overseeing all operational responsibilities at the campus level.  The RDO will ensure that Campus Leaders stay focused on their primary responsibilities.  As an operations leader within SEC, the RDO will play an active role in executing centrally led initiatives to implement systems and practices that enhance the organization’s efficiency and effectiveness in achieving all desired campus benchmarks, budgets, and outcomes. 

Responsibilities 
 
Management and Leadership
  • Act as a critical member of SEC’s leadership team and participate in all appropriate team meetings.
  • Develop a strategic vision for the operations team, including staffing plan, budget, and processes that supports long-term plan.
  • Drive regional and campus based operational success through project management, workflow implementation, and explicit progress monitoring of metrics and benchmarks related to the SEC’s vision for operational excellence.  Keep Campus leaders and other stakeholders closely abreast of progress and/or lack of progress.
  • Actively manage Campus Leaders, serves as an on-call resource, thought-partner, problem solver and coach, including ensuring that the Campus budgets are managed effectively and met or exceeded by the Campus Leaders.  The RDO will also partner with the campus leaders in the annual budgeting process.
  • Ensure best practices for campus operations across the region.
  • Directly supervise the campus leaders within their region.
  • Provide oversight and support to the Campus-based operations teams around effective data management, ensuring that strong practices are in place for the collection and accurate recording of all student data.
  • Ensure Campuses are in compliance with all accreditation, local, state and federal requirements and coordinate with the campus support center compliance team to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Develop strong relationships with SEC’s Campus Support Center staff, serve as thought partner, actively glean and share best practices across all verticals.
 Qualifications/Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years relevant experience in the private post-secondary education, with management and operating experience required.
  • Strong organization and project management skills.
  • Superb written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic, entrepreneurial spirit and flexibility to accommodate a high level of responsibility, multiple priorities and changing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high energy environment with a proven ability to juggle multiple deadlines and tasks.  
  • Detail orientation is a must.
