CLINICAL COORDINATOR, RN PROGRAM
JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY:
This is a faculty position directly reporting to the Dean of Nursing. Responsible for coordination and clinical placement of nursing students and following the curriculum of the college approved by the Accreditation Bureau.
RESPONSIBILITY:
- Collaborates with faculty to prepare, revise, and submit student learning outcomes, objectives and competencies for clinical courses to the Dean of Nursing.
- Collaborates with faculty to review, evaluate, and recommend clinical curriculum changes to Dean of Nursing.
- Attends and participates in new nursing student orientations.
- Review and tracks student files for completeness and compliance with state board of nursing and clinical agency requirements. Collaborates with faculty to resolve discrepancies and reports results to the Dean of Nursing.
- Coordinates the gathering of agency specific documentation necessary for student placement into the clinical agencies.
- Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with clinical agency management and staff.
- Assist the Associate Dean of Nursing in resolving student clinical issues.
- Exhibits initiative, enthusiasm, collegiality, and teamwork in accomplishing the responsibilities of the position.
- Maintains currency of knowledge in nursing education by attending state and national meetings of nursing educators and administrators.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND EDUCATION:
- Teaching experience in a College or University preferred
- BSN required, MSN preferred
- Valid CA Insurance License
